Callous Disregard in "not very popular" shock.

Andrew Wakefield's book is now available for less than twelve dollars, new, on Amazon.com. List price $26.95. Twelve dollars is about eight quid. Cheaper than an "Age of Autism Is full Of Shit" T-shirt, but with less street credibility.

Jeeze what is your problem? We live in a free country! You vaccinate. You are happy there are no health risks. You fear measles, rubella and mumps. You feel protected and safe, and that your child is safe. Great No experience I have had will ever change your mind!

I don't vaccinate. As i said in a previous post, I lie awake at night fearing rare cancers in the young, diabetes, asthma, arthritis, alzheimer's, Multiple Sclerosis, diabetes T1, autism. These are the increasing modern diseases, that no-one knows what the cause is. I also feel safer.

Great! nothing you can say will change my mind.

What's the problem? Why are you so angry? Is it because you feel I am getting a free ride on the herd immunity, or do you generally fear for my child for having a stupid dad?

Don't fear for my child. When cancer affects 1 in 3 and measles has only harmed 3 people in the UK in 18 years (all with underlying health conditions) it's not my child you should fear for. Usually people, who don't vaccinate, live on the precautious side. We live organically, we limit mobile phone use, high rating safety cars and rear face until the age of 4. We filter our water, avoid McDonalds, learn first aid and so on and so on. We naturally mistrust, but you can bet my child is statistically safer than a mother who never looks up possible modern day dangers, not yet proved dangerous.

I cant help it if your choice to vaccinate has a positive externality for my child, at 0 risk to my child. But when you really think about it, you can CALL me scientifically iiliterate , you can call me an idiot, you can show me your degrees in science, just keep vaccinating :)
